Happy Holidays! As we all enter the busy Holiday season, we would like to remind you of the upcoming collection schedule and inclement weather policies.

Thanksgiving Day: Office is closed and no services will be provided. Single Family Homes!!Since your regular trash & recycling pickup falls on this day, trash & recycling collection make up day will be the Saturday after the holiday (November 26th).**

 Christmas Day & New Year's Day: Falls on a Sunday this year. There will be no interruption in your service.

 **On make-up days, crews come through neighborhoods earlier than normal, please make sure residents put their items curbside the night before. **

Yard Debris Collection: Yard debris collection end effective January 11th unless your contract specifies otherwise. If you have yard debris to be collected after this date, place your items to curbside on your 2nd collection day until yard debris season resumes the 1st week of March.

Christmas Tree Collection: Single Family and multi-dwelling attached homes, Christmas trees will be collected on January 4th and January 11th. We ask all tinsel and decorations be removed. Please do not place trees in plastic bags.

Inclement Weather: Safety in your community is our primary concern. Roads and/or areas which are deemed unsafe due to snow or ice will be suspended for collection. If suspension occurs, services will resume based on the contract terms.

Pick-ups begin at 6:00am and are typically completed in Little Rocky Run by 3:00pm. 
Please place your trash and recycling in appropriate, secure containers no sooner than 6:00pm the night before your scheduled pick up day and promptly remove emptied containers from your front curb or open space on pick up day. 
If your trash is not picked up by 3:00pm on your scheduled day, please call American Disposal. If your trash is not removed within 24 hours after your call to ADS, please call the HOA Office at 703-830-0411. Feel free to leave a message if calling after hours.

Single Family Homes:

TRASH DAYS:  Monday/Thursday

RECYCLING DAY: Thursday

Town Homes:

TRASH DAY:  Tuesday/Friday

RECYCLING DAY: Tuesday


Yard debris pick up will occur March through December 31 in the single family homes.  Pickup days will be Wednesday for single family homes and Friday for townhomes. After December 31, yard debris is picked up on Thursday's for single family and Friday's for Townhomes.


As a reminder yard debris is defined as grass clippings, leaves, small twigs/branches and brush that results from general yard and landscape maintenance.  Brush is defined as the woody part of tree trimmings or prunings with a branch and/or trunk diameter of six inches or less.  Brush shall be cut in lengths of four-foot (4') or less by the Residents, and bundled & tied or placed in clearly marked rigid containers.

American Disposal prefers that yard debris be placed in brown paper bags and Fairfax County will require this in 2017.


Special Pickups (Large Items)

American Disposal will arrange a special collection of some large items at no extra charge.  Some items will incur an additional charge such as refrigerators, dish washers, washing machines, etc.  Call American Disposal at 703-368-0500 or visit them online at http://www.american-disposal.com/ for more information.  Special pickups are usually made on the second regular collection day of the week if you call at least 72 hours in advance.
